No, I made up the title myself because of the thistle-like structures in the image - I'm not familiar with the book (??) of which you speak. Though I think Thistledown is also the name of a parameter in one of the fractal formulas I sometimes use so it's likely the word was at the back of my mind somewhere anyway. :)

Thistledown is the of an astroide that appers outside the orbit of Saturn and settles into orbit around earth. It has 2 cities and 7 chambers and the 7th doesn't end.It's a very good read.
