Update, July 16th: I'm delighted to say that this image won first place in the contest!
I thought I would have a go at creating the United Kingdom's Union Jack flag for this project. The cricket balls seemed a quintessentially English thing to add, as well as being the perfect colour for this red, white and blue image. The red cross on the background is a reference to the part of the union flag that represents England. All elements except for the signature are 100% fractally generated.
England is where I was born and where I live. There is so much about it that I love; the rich and fascinating history of our nation, the landscape, the culture, the language, the people. The complex interplay of all these factors that make us who we are today. I delight in the humour and eccentricities of the English, and admire the creativity and vision of our artists, musicians, writers, inventors and thinkers. We are blessed with a peaceful, prosperous and safe way of life which many people of the world can only dream of. I could say so much more but space is limited so this will have to suffice.
The Americans on here are already thick as pig-shit and can't tell the difference between the British and English flags, (and they're too ignorant to care)
Not knowing something does not mean someone is as "thick as pig-shit" as you so quaintly put it. I don't see why anyone outside the UK should be intimately acquainted with what the various parts of the Union Jack signify.
I'm sure most people can read... my comments explain the distinction you are complaining about. Education is a better remedy than insults in my view.
Thanks for the fave and friend watch.
Don't encourage them by miss-labeling this.
